Dear colleagues and friends, On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and the International Scientific Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the joint 19th International CMV Workshop and European Congenital Cytomegalovirus Initiative (ECCI) 2026, which will take place from 1-4 November 2026 in the beautiful and historic city of Athens, Greece. Together with CMV laboratory and clinical scientists, the ECCI Board, and the Scientific Committee, we are committed to delivering a high-quality, engaging, and dynamic scientific meeting. A Meeting that will provide an opportunity for the CMV research community to reconnect, foster new collaborations, and advance our shared mission.

Over the course of four full days, we will exchange knowledge and explore the latest data through vibrant scientific discussions. The program will feature State-of-the-Art keynote lectures from international experts covering a broad range of topics, including treatment strategies, future vaccines, congenital CMV, CMV in transplantation, and various aspects of CMV immunology and virology. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their own research, engage with colleagues sharing similar interests, strengthen existing collaborations, and build new professional relationships. We warmly encourage you to submit your work, contribute your expertise, and join us in making this event a success. Athens, with its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and modern infrastructure, offers the perfect setting for our conference. To that end, and in addition to the scientific program, we are organizing a warm and engaging social program to enhance your experience and encourage meaningful connections among attendees.
